It would be really nice to be able to select a schema and create an ad-hoc document. I'm imaging a wizard that allows you to select a schema and a global element for the root element and it creates the necessary top-level structure (if possible). This seems to be quite a stumbling block for many new users and also those who create a lot of ad-hoc schemas (e.g. developer types).
It would also be nice to be able to select an ad-hoc CSS stylesheet to go along with the document via a stylesheet PI. Obviously, it would have to be compatible with the editor.
