We are finding a problem copy-pasting from an Application like BBEdit
or Word into XXE on MacOSX.
We open a text file containing accented characters, encoded as UTF-8 in
BBEdit.
eg. "Ga?tan de Cl?rambault"
Copy this text to the clipboard, switch to XXE and paste it into a
template (saved as UTF-8), you get this:
"Ga??tan de Cl??rambault"
Copy this back out again into BBEdit and it gets the correct string
(!?!)
Pasting the original text from BBEdit into other Java Applications like
JEdit, results in the correct text appearing. Copying accented text
from JEdit into XXE also results in the munging of the characters.
Anyone know of any workarounds?
We have XXE set to use UTF-8 by default.

PS. I don't know if this should be an issue, but I have JEdit running
in JRE 1.3.1 and XXE running in DP8 JRE 1.4.1.
