When I have the top level element selected and I goto 'Select->Select Preceding Sibling' I get java exception errors and the program nearly freezes up. The widgets stop redrawing themselves and there is a lack of tactility that is hard to discribe. Some things will respond to clicks and some wont. Closing XXE works fine.
I do not know of another way to select top-level comments and PIs. If this is not possible then expected behavior is 'Select->Select Preceding Sibling' should be grayed out; or at least not nearly-freeze the program when clicked. I am using java 1.4.0_01-b03 on Debian GNU/Linux. The java output is attached.
