XXE V2 is a complete rewrite of XXE M1.x, which supports not only DTD
but also XML Schema. Some of XXE M1.x features have disappeared during
the battle and many new features have been added...

The ulink has not ``disappeared'' from XXE. You cannot *convert* to
ulink. You need to *insert* an empty ulink.

You cannot convert the text selection (or selected text node or selected
``inline'' element) to ulink because ulink has a required attribute
called href. This is also true for link and its required attribute
linkend, but not for olink which has no required attribute.

However because this limitation annoys me as much as you, in V20final, I
implemented the conversion of the text selection to ulink (and to link
too) as a macro-command invoked by a tool bar button. See attached
screen shot.

V20final will be released next week. For now, please insert a new ulink
at caret position and cut and paste the text by hand into the newly
inserted element.
