i tried that, but it's not working at all! i can give a top margin of 5
(where it defaults to 1) and pages come out exactly the same! any idea
why?

I'm confused, is there a difference between the docbook stylesheet you
supply with xxe (M1.3) and "the original NW stylesheets"?

Can i use the page.margin.top in xxe + docbook stylesheet? and if so can
you give a small example?
