In addition to the previous reply to this email which explains why this
is an excellent format for saving XML files, you can also give a try to
the Indent option in the Save tab of the Options dialog box. 

In your case, also checking the ISO-8859-1 toggle (in the same tab) is
recommended.

Being a heavy user/mentor of XXE, even if it is pretty annoying, you
should read the Users's Guide from cover to back. 

No offense intended here: I'm not saying "RTFM". I just think that
reading the manual once for all is more efficient for you than sending
emails to the support mailing list.
