However getting the conversion of an XML document to PDF right is a problem of its own, for which we don't officially provide any support. This statement is explained in great length in this FAQ: http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/faq.html#custom_deliverables This being said, we are always willing to help. --> To our knowledge, your problem can be solved in three ways. Try each one in turn: [1] Add a titleabbrev child element after the title element. Make the text of this titleabbrev element shorter than the text of the title element. See attached long_title2.xml and corresponding PDF. [2] Change the layout of the XSL-FO pages in the DocBook XSL style sheet. (See attached screenshot.) [a] Use Options|Change Document Conversion Parameters. [b] Select "Convert to PDF, Postscript". [c] Click on Add. [d] Specify region.before.extent as the parameter name and 2in as the parameter value. You'll have to adjust this value to make it smaller or larger. [f] Do the same for parameter body.margin.top. Specify 2.1in. Please read the FAQ if you want to understand what you do. [3] Consider purchasing RenderX XEP rather than using free Apache FOP (we have a plug-in for both XSL-FO processors).
