Dear Mr. Shafie, thank you very much for your immediate answer and for the attached file. I have included this file into the xxe customization and it works fine. I will have a closer look on the clean maintainable method.
I agree, that the xxe does not provide a WYSIWYG view, and that "styled view" is the term, that suits better. Especially in our case, where we always produce a PDF and an HTML output with its specific layout.
