Conversion from DITA to other formats such as PDF is performed using the DITA Open Toolkit, a software we have not created, which has many, many, *many*, limitations. Because we take DITA support very seriously we have planned to get rid of the DITA Open Toolkit in order to offer our customers the same reliability as say, DocBook or XHTML support. However this will take months. Now for your problem (which I cannot reproduce here at XMLmind), your screenshot shows only the beginning of the conversion process, I need to see the whole message in order to suggest a workaround. Please click inside the message area, select all the text (Ctrl-A), copy it to the clipboard (Ctrl-C) and send it to me by email.
