I'm sorry but this feature is not directly related to the RFE of Kevin Yank. In your case, I would suggest to modify your local copy of the DTD/schema. Replace string by the proper enumeration. This takes 5 minutes and does not predate the interchange of your documents with other applications/authors (your modified schema would be just a trivial, private, restriction of the stock one). After doing this, do not forget to clear the schema cache of XXE (Options|Preferences, Advanced|Schema Cache, Clear).
