No. This is a bug in the documentation of the add-on. We'll fix it for 
next release. The reference documentation "XMLmind XML Editor - Support 
of MathML 2" 
http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/mathml/index.html seems up 
to date.

No, not at all. We have tested a DITA (DTD) + MathML2 subset (RELAX NG) 
configuration and it works fine.
