thanks for information. So, I assume I have to use Dapper backport repository:

http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper-backports/libs/sun-java6-jre

instead of http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/libs/sun-java5-jre ?

Anyway, I will do this. Still connected using GPRS :-| Will take some time. 
Thanks a lot providing a community version for private use. Especially for tech 
DITA documentation use :D Good job.

Cannot reproduce this problem. Drag & Drop works fine on Linux as long 
as you use a Java[tm] runtime with version >= 1.5.
Note that XMLmind XML Editor is *developed* on Linux and is tested 
against Ubuntu/Gnome and SuSE/KDE.
