Lest you think I'm totally negative, I think the way that XML Mind associates configurations with documents is quite clever.
One thing that I want to see added to it (unless I just missed it in my read of the docs) would be association based on namespaces associated with the root element. For example, in DITA 1.1 we declared the ditaarch namespace for use with the DITAArchVersion= attribute, specifically so that DITA documents would be unambiguously bound to a DITA-defined namespace. This allows reliable recognition of DITA documents regardless of whether or not they have an associated DTD or schema or what the DTD or schema is. In a document with no DTD or schema, you would expect to see this: <?xml version="1.0"?> <concept xmlns:ditaarch="http://dita.oasis-open.org/architecture/2005/" id="class-attributes" ditaarch:DITAArchVersion="1.1" ... > This document is unambiguously a DITA document and I would like to be able to bind a configuration to it based on the namespace declaration and existence of the DITAArchVersion= attribute.
