We do support references to external entities but to a very limited extend and we do not intend to improve this support in the future. See http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/limitations.html Note that we support and promote the use of a better, more modern, more structured, more maintenable, alernative: XInclude. See http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/user/tutorial_modular_document.html See http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/user/tutorial_modular_document.html#extensive_copy_as_reference This being said, we perfectly understand that: [1] All other XML editors fully support references to entities because this feature is part of the XML 1.0 standard. Therefore you do not understand why we, XMLmind, don't support this feature. [2] You'll not change the structure of your documents for the sole sake of using XMLmind XML Editor. --- PS: This kind of feature request must be sent to xmleditor-support at xmlmind.com and not to services at xmlmind.com.
