Quel est l'impact des styles appliqu?s ? > Translation of the questions: [1] What is the maximum size of the XML files we can open in XMLmind XML Editor, knowing that we use two views to display the opened document? [2] Does the CSS styles used to render the document on screen have an influence on this maximum size? Answers: [1] There is no maximum size. The limit is the speed of your CPU and the quantity of RAM you have. This being said, by default, the Java[tm] runtime used to run XXE is configured to eat at most 128Mb of virtual memory (not much by today's standards). This can be changed easily: see http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/faq.html#outofmemory [2] I don't know. Not much, I guess. I can just say that you may embed hundreds of thousands of controls (buttons, comboboxes, etc) in the styled view because, in fact, the styled view does not contain actual instances of the controls but merely *images* (i.e. bitmaps, rasters) of these controls. The image of the control is replaced by an actual control when you click on it or when you ``tab'' to it. This technique is called "rubber banding".
