The DocBook DTD does not specify xml:space="preserve" for elements such
as programlisting, screen, etc. That's why white space preservation
behavior had to be specified in XMLmind XML Editor configuration file
using the cfg:preserveSpace configuration element.

Excerpt of XXE_install_dir/addon/config/common.incl (included in
docbook.xxe):

---
  <cfg:preserveSpace xmlns=""
    elements="address funcsynopsisinfo classsynopsisinfo
              literallayout programlisting screen synopsis" />
---
