I did think I'd seen a configuration option to support this dangerous activity from within XML Mind by specifying an external editor, but even without that ... after all, one of the (many) advantages of xml is that it's a portable, pure text format. And while not recommended when we're trying to use XML Mind properly, if I wanted to show people what I was up to I'd prefer to show them the tree-view as well as the tagged text view; to my mind, it shows an important characteristic of xml very clearly.
