I knew this article (which is not radically critical) and I understand Norman Walsh point of view. We just have a different point of view: here at XMLmind, we really don't care about the physical representation of XML as long as it follows the standard [*] [**]. What's really important for us is making it as easy and as safe as possible authoring structured documents. --- [*] XXE creates indented XML files *only* because we were *tired* to receive emails containing complains about this way of saving XML files: --- <section id="s2" ><title >Section 2</title ><para >Paragraph in section 2.</para ></section > --- --- [**] Some people argue that the physical representation of XML is important because they need to use CVS.
