Roman-- Don't know what OS you're using, but at least in Ms Windows you can associate an extension with an application (in this case, I guess it would be the .xml extension that you would associate with XMLmind). Then when you double-click on the *document* in Windows Explorer, or open the doc some other way, it will automatically come up in the chosen application. This works with most applications; I haven't tried it with XMLmind.
