You did everything needed to make sure the installation is clean and 
yet, you still have this problem.

Well, I'm puzzled. I don't see how this can happen: the "3.7.0" printed 
in the title and the "3.6.2" printed in the error message come from the 
same, unique, constant!

In practice, I absolutely don't see how I could help you. It is clearly 
a bug, but I don't have the slightest idea on how to reproduce it.

Just to be 100% sure, I've repeated everything you did, in the order you 
did it, on a Windows XP machine (which even had XXE 3.6.2 Personal 
Edition before I uninstalled it). No problem at all!

Dare I suggest that you reboot your machine, in case you didn't do that 
between the uninstall of 3.6.2 and the install of 3.7.0? Normally this 
absolutely not needed, but strangely enough, on Windows, this sometimes 
helps.
