--> This cannot work in free Personal Edition. See http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/persoedition.html --> If you want to quickly solve your problem: [1] Download and install an evaluation key in order to transform your Personal Edition to an Evaluation Edition. What to do is explained here: http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/evaluate.html After that, you'll be able to convert DocBook to HTML and XHTML using menu item "DocBook|Convert Document|Convert to HTML..." and al. [2] Converting DocBook requires you to download and install the plug-in for FOP 0.93 (RenderX XEP is better but it is a commercial product). In order to do so, simply use menu item "Options|Install Add-ons", select the plug-in, say OK to all questions, click OK and restart XXE. After that, you'll be able to convert DocBook to PDF using menu item "DocBook|Convert Document|Convert to PDF..." and al. --- PS: If you prefer XHTML rather than HTML, use menu item "Options|Customize Configuration|Document Conversion Preferences" and check option "Generate XHTML rather than HTML". Note that almost all the submenus and menu items referenced in this email are absent from free Personal Edition. They will appear automagically when you'll install the evaluation key and restart XXE.
