May be you need to specify a proxy (i.e. in your environment, "direct internet connection, no proxy" cannot work). I say this because "http://www.xmlmind.net/xmleditor/_download/list.xxe_addon"; is a pretty reliable link. Which version is recommended? In my opinion, FOP 0.92beta works much better than FOP 0.20.5. Its rendering of tables is good. It implements ``vertical spaces'' correctly. It supports image viewports correctly. This is not the case with FOP 0.20.5. Disclaimer: here at XMLmind, we still use RenderX XEP for production.
