Yes, this feature is really needed. No, there is no need to implement it
 in an XML editor using *hotkeys* or Ctrl-mouse-wheel.

Therefore, this feature has been implemented *years* *ago*, but not
using hotkeys or Ctrl-mouse-wheel, using the Options dialog box! See

You can even change the size of the font of the GUI (menu, dialogs,
etc). Something you cannot do in most other programs.
