* Your problems are caused by the interaction between the Java runtime you use and your display card+driver, and not by XXE. I mean, we, XMLmind, made no bugs we could fix. * We routinely use latest XXE with latest Java runtime on a machine having Vista SP1 and a NVidia display card (GeForce 7600) without any problems. However we almost never upgrade our display drivers. Therefore your problems probably come from your specific display card+driver. * I guess that you install the XXE distribution which comes with its own private Java runtime (please confirm). This means that each time you upgrade XXE, you use the very latest Java runtime. XXE v4.2.1 is bundled with a Java runtime 1.6.0_11. XXE v4.3 (to be released tomorrow) is bundled with a Java runtime 1.6.0_13. * Here's what you can try (in that order): [1] (I assume that you start XXE by double-clicking its icon. Please confirm.) Please replace XXE_install_dir/bin/xxe.jstart by the xxe.jstart file attached to this email. This xxe.jstart contains the flag -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false which is a workaround for the following bug: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6757527 [2] If [1] does not work. Upgrade to XXE v4.3 with its private Java 1.6.0_13 runtime (to be released tomorrow). [3] If [2] does not work. Uninstall XXE, install an old Java runtime (See "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 18" in http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index_jdk5.jsp). Reinstall XXE, but this time use the distribution which does not include its own private Java runtime (xxe-pro-NNN-setup-nojvm.exe). We would be really grateful if you could inform us about any progress you made or any problems you still have. --- PS: Please use xmleditor-support at xmlmind.com to report such problems. -------------- next part -------------- An embedded and charset-unspecified text was scrubbed...
