No. In our idea, the deployment using Java Web Start does not compete with the deployment as an applet: * Java Web Start is a very convenient way to deploy desktop applications. * The XMLmind XML Editor applet, in its "viewer", "editor1" or "editor2" forms (the "xxe" form is the least interesting one -- see http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/xxe_applet.html), exclusively runs inside the Web browser and is intended to be integrated in a Web application (e.g. a CMS). If you don't have a web application (implemented using PHP, ASP, Servlet, CGI, etc), then you don't need the XMLmind XML Editor applet.
