XEP uses its own SVG renderer. All the other add-ons use Batik to render
SVG.

The Batik/XXE integration is so simple that it cannot cause such
problems. Moreover, this integration works fine on all the other
platforms and hasn't changed since a very long time.

The attached screenshot, which does not show the problem, was taken just
before updating Java to Update 4 on my MacBook.

After updating Java to Update 4, I managed to reproduce the problem.

Therefore the problem seems to be caused by Java 1.5.0_19 on Mac OS X.
There is nothing we, XMLmind, can do to fix this problem.

A possible workaround is to use the Java 1.6 64-bit (latest is 1.6.0_13)
runtime rather than Java 1.5. You can set such preference using
Finder/Applications/Utilities/Java Preferences.
