Multiple extensions must be separated with whitespace and not commas.

It's Ctrl+Shift-O and not Esc x.

Esc x is the binding of "Tools|Execute Command" (i.e. execute command
"insert after"). See

I don't see how this could be possible. We changed nothing at all
related to helper applications since a very long time.

If after changing the specification of the helper application and using
Ctrl+Shift-O, it still does not work then this means that for some
reason, i_view32.exe is not designed to be used as a helper application.

Example of such application: write.exe which in fact starts wordpad.exe
(or is it the opposite?)
