i apologize upfront because i'm about to ask a question which is outside the scope of this mailing list.
we are still using XXE, we still have no DocBook guru, and i'm still the only person who is taking any interest in using XXE to it fullest potential and in customizing the stock DocBook configuration -- two tasks that are outside the scope of my job description and pay grade but there's no one else. if i ignore this gap in support then we deliver technical documents that are ill-formatted for their markets which is why i'm trying to customize DocBook myself to meet our formatting requirements. i don't know where else to go with such a question as this: wrt deliverables, is language-specific processing possible? not language-specific text generation, rather language-specific text alignment. such as, if lang=en then alignment=left, if lang=jp then alignment=justify. the logic is very simple and it seems possible but all my custamization efforrts were unsuccessful. i have been all over Part III Customizing DocBook XSL and have tried Googling the heck out of this question and the answer is still unknown to me. even if all you can/want to do is point me to a DocBook forum appropriate for this kind of question, i would be grateful. thank you, susan -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
