This is done on purpose. Some add-ons are tied to a specific version of XMLmind XML Editor. Installing them in the app package allows to automatically uninstall them when XMLmind XML Editor is itself uninstalled. > but I can now re-install in Application Support if I want. Note that Options|Preferences, "Install Add-ons" section, allows you to automatically install all the add-ons in "Application Support" if you prefer to do so.
