I mean, the command you need is > definitely *not* checkValidity. I was looking for a command that would check the validity of the document and update the display of the validation tool as part of a macro. The overall goal of the macro is to correct some validation problems (detected using Schematron). I just wanted to avoid the necessity of clicking the validation button after the macro completes (in order to see if the validation errors disappear). The checkValidity was the only ready-made command that promised to do *some* kind of validation. Is there a way of running the validation tool from inside a macro then? Like the command that is executed when the validate button is pressed?
