XXE macro-commands (http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/commands/macro.html) and process commands (http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/commands/process.html) clearly do not attempt to resemble Apache Ant. Now XXE macro-commands allow to get and set variables using the <get> and <set> elements.
