Sorry but there is currently no way to achieve what you want. Option generateIds="true" only applies to automatically created elements. This option does not apply to user-defined elements templates. However, *dynamic* user-defined elements templates (automatically generating an ID would be of course supported by this feature) is an often-requested feature. Therefore we'll seriously consider implementing it in a future release.
