Cannot load document X:\yyy\xxx.xml: X:\yyy\ditabase.dtd (The system cannot find the file specified) ---screenshot > > > Can you offer any suggestions? > The error message is almost certainly correct. My guess is that you have installed XMLmind XML Editor v4.1 and forgot to install the add-on which adds DITA support to XMLmind XML Editor v4.1. Please download all the add-ons you need (well, at least dita_dtd_config-4_1_0.zip) from this directory: http://www.xmlmind.com/archive/xmleditor/4.1.0/ (Please open the above location in your Web browser.) Let's suppose all the downloaded .zip files are found in "C:\temp\". After doing that, please [1] select menu item "Options|Preferences", "Install Add-ons", [2] check "Search add-ons in this directory", [3] specify "C:\temp\" in the corresponding text field and [4] click OK. (More information in: http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/help/installAddonsOptions.html ) Now please select menu item "Options|Install Add-ons". You should see all the addons you have downloaded in the dialog box. Select all of them. Click OK and restart XMLmind XML Editor as instructed. (More information in: http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/help/com.xmlmind.xmleditapp.app.part.InstallAddonsDialog.html ) Sorry for this complex procedure. We have much simplified it as of XMLmind XML Editor v4.5 (September 24, 2009). See http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/changes.html#v4.5.0 --- PS: Note that DITA support is available out of the box since XMLmind XML Editor v4.5 (September 24, 2009).
