Hello,

Actually this was just a proxy configuration problem. Thanks for pointing us in the right direction.

Kind regards,

We are having problems running XXE 4.6.1 on windows 7. Attached is a

Will this problem be solved with later versions of XXE?
This is very unlikely, because I'm not sure this problem is directly
related to our code.

This error message is reported by the HTTP client used by our WebDAV
Virtual Drive plug-in.

This lightweight HTTP client --
http://www.innovation.ch/java/HTTPClient/[*] -- is conforming to the
standards and quite reliable. Therefore, the error message is almost
certainly correct: the SOCKS server you use[**] has a bug or uses
unsupported proprietary extensions.

I'm afraid you'll have to find a workaround by yourself (change the
settings of the SOCKS server and/or change XXE network settings --
http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/_distrib/doc/help/advancedOptions.html#proxiesOptions)
as we have no way to reproduce this problem here at our offices.

[*] In the future, we'll probably switch the WebDAV Virtual Drive
plug-in to Jakarta Commons HttpClient --
http://hc.apache.org/httpclient-3.x/ because:
[1] its support of the proprietary but very commonly used NTLM
authentication;
[2] innovation.ch's HTTPClient is no longer supported by its author.

[**] If you don't use a SOCKS server at all, then simply tell us how to
reproduce the bug and we'll fix it ASAP.
