I'm pretty sure it's how it works on yours side too, so let me try to explain it again: 1. Select an already existing element in whatever valid XML document 2. Go to the top (attribute name) field in the "Attributes" panel 3. Type some random letters (an invalid attribute name) 4. Optionally, also go to the attribute value field and type something 5. Hit Enter or click on the green checkmark button 6. Nothing happens... Of course no attribute is added, but there should be an error dialog, IMO.
