Start XXE Under Install Add-Ons, selected MathML support and allowed it to add the 2 dependencies. As of v5.4, the MathML add-on and all its dependencies are pre-installed. Ah, I see. So the bug here is that, despite being pre-installed, "MathML support" and the other extensions show up in the "Install" pane of "Install Add-ons", as if they were installable and applicable to this version. I'd expect them to be listed in the other ("Uninstall") pane, or to not show up at all if they are now considered part of the core application. Quit& restart XXE When I restart, I get an "Errors found in configuration files" warning. Which errors? Please copy and paste these warnings to a text file and send them to us. Errors found in configuration files file:/Users/borisgoldowsky/Library/Application%20Support/XMLmind/XMLEditor5/addon/mathml_config/standalone/mathml.xxe * "file:/Users/borisgoldowsky/Library/Application%20Support/XMLmind/XMLEditor5/addon/mathml_config/standalone/mathml.xxe", line 6, column 50: invalid attribute "icon" * "file:/Users/borisgoldowsky/Library/Application%20Support/XMLmind/XMLEditor5/addon/mathml_config/standalone/mathml.xxe", line 44, column 69: invalid attribute "icon" In my understanding, you describe a problem with a fresh install of XXE v5.4 on Mac OS X 10.6. Is this really the case? Or as you are the author of the "MathML-In-DAISY Support" add-on (which uses our MathML add-on), these problems could be caused by an integration problem. Getting the DAISY configuration working with 5.4 was my ultimate goal, yes. But when I started running into problems I backed off to a clean install without any of my own code, to try to understand where the problem was. Please note that as of v5.2, the way MathML support added to configuration has substantially changed. I think with the guidance you provided I'll be able to get things working. I will remove "MathML Support" as a listed dependency of my configuration, to avoid XMLMind overriding the default-installed version with the one from the repository, and use the new inclusion mechanism.
