XMLmind XML Editor has two *completely* *separated* spell-checkers:
1) The on-demand spell-checker (AKA the Spell pane). This one is not often used by our users.
2) The on-the-fly (or automatic) spell-checker.

You are describing two issues with the on-the-fly spell-checker. The on-demand spell-checker seems to behave correctly.

1) All incorrect words occurring many times in a row should be underlined. This is indeed a bug. 2) Duplicate words should be underlined. This is more a limitation than a bug.

What we can to to improve the situation? I'm afraid, not much:

1) Fixing this bug is given a very low priority as the case you describe (same incorrect word many times in a row) happens very rarely.

2) This minor limitation work requires a lot of work in order to be removed. Therefore, we do not plan to remove it.

*Spell Checker view: **Duplicate words are not underlined*

STR:

1. Enter the same incorrect word many times in a row

2. Select first instance of incorrect word (underlined) and Start Spell
Checker

3. Ignore All

Actual Results:

1. Only the first instance of the incorrect word is underlined

2. Start --> "Unknown word"

3. Ignore All --> goes to the next incorrect word (not underlined) and
displays "Duplicate words" error

Expected:

1. All incorrect words are underlined

2. Start --> "Unknown word"

3. Ignore All --> goes to the next incorrect word (underlined) and
displays "Duplicate words" error
