The annoyance you describe below is well-known to us.

As I have explained it in one of my previous message, XMLmind XML Editor has two *completely* *separated* spell-checkers: 1) The on-demand spell-checker (AKA the Spell pane). This one is not often used by our users.
2) The on-the-fly (or automatic) spell-checker.

A word learned by one spell-checker is not ``seen'' by the other.

Changing this situation would require a lot of work. Therefore we are really sorry but we don't plan to fix this bug. Rationale: now that we have dumped free Personal Edition, our users almost exclusively use the on-the-fly spell-checker.

*Spell Checker view: **Learned word continues to be underlined*

STR:

1. Enter an incorrect word (eg. sentenc)

2. Select incorrect word and Start the Spell Checker

3. Spell Checker > Learn

4. Spell Checker > Stop

5. Select learned word and Start the Spell Checker

Actual Results:

1. Learn --> Incorrect word is learned (added to the Suggestions
dictionary) and next incorrect word is selected, if any

2. Learned word is still underlined

3. Start --> Previously learned word is skipped (step 3) and next
incorrect word is selected, if any

Expected:

1. Learn --> Incorrect word is learned (added to the Suggestions
dictionary) and next incorrect word is selected, if any

2. Learned word is no longer underlined**

3. Start --> Previously learned word is skipped (step 3) and next
incorrect word is selected, if any
