We seem to experience some problems with the DocBook modular document
support (e.g. "Edit Referenced Document" feature) with XXE 5.6.0 (works
OK with 5.4.1, did not test on 5.5).
Pb.1: The arrow button allowing to move forward within the referenced
document is dimmed and cannot be selected. If we use the contextual menu
on the same element and select "Edit Refenced Document", the button is
undimmed and functions again as expected, however...
Pb2.: The "go backward" arrow button works erratically, sometimes moving
back to the referencing document, sometimes not without obvious reason.
Pb3: When the referenced document is already opened in a different tab,
editing it will sometimes not do anything, that is will switch to the
ad-hoc tab.
We use this feature a lot for our big DocBook module documents and did
not experience any issues of the kind with previous versions of XXE.
Did we miss something ?
--> As of v5.5, the "Go Back" and "Go Forward" buttons found at the very
left of the node path bar do *not* invoke "Edit → Reference → Edit
Referenced Document" and "Edit → Reference → Edit Referencing Document".
The "Go Back" and "Go Forward" buttons are general purpose *navigation*
buttons similar to those found in a Web browser. They are not directly
related to editing modular documents (though they are useful in that
context too).

I cannot reproduce any strange or erratic behavior with these buttons.
I'm really sorry to have to say that you need to tell your users to
``un-learn'' all they have learned about the old "Edit Referencing
Document" and "Edit Referenced Document" node path bar buttons.
--> As of v5.5, please:
* Press Ctrl+Shift-E to Edit Referenced Document
OR
Right-click inside an inclusion and select "Edit Referenced Document"
from the contextual menu.
* Press Ctrl+Shift-B to Edit Referencing Document
OR
Use the general purpose "Go Back" button one or more times until you
reach the Referencing Document.

PS: The old "Edit Referencing Document" and "Edit Referenced Document"
toolbar buttons can be ``restored'' by the means of a customize.xxe_gui
file.
