Not 100% sure to understand "files associated with *.dbk files". Let's
skip this point for now and let's suppose you used to use an old
version of XMLmind XML Editor not having any configuration customization
made by a third-party XML consultant.
So if I used context
menu to *.dbk file I had "Compile PDF/HTML" menu items. But after
updating these menu items were disappeared and associating don't
work.
May be you could suggest what I did wrong.
You did nothing wrong, no doubt about it.
If the old version of XMLmind XML Editor you used before v5.6.0 was a
very old one (v3.x) and if your *.dbk files contain DocBook v4.x (not
v5) chapters for example, then I may have an idea of what happens.
Please send me privately (mailto:[email protected]) one the *.dbk
files which poses a problem when you open it in XMLmind XML Editor, so I
can explain what happens and may be suggest some workarounds.
