John, I would appreciate if you can try it out and let me know if it works for you or any further work is needed.
I think it is working well. Please add the new --crypto syntax to the xmlsec-config man page.
Aside: as I suggested in another email, would you make the Online Verifier run the cgi command from your web site instead of expecting that the user has manually installed it locally?
