I suggest that FAQ 1.3 ("Can I use xmlsec with a GNU GPL library?") be updated. Although I don't know the details of the gnutls and nss engine limitations compared to openssl, they should at least be mentioned as alternatives. Certainly gnutls is GPL compatible, and nss is intended to be but perhaps is not (see http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=217162).
By the way, the current thinking within the Debian organization is that the GPL loophole is *not* sufficient to allow use of openssl by a GPL'd application.
