I think this makes lots of sense. Let me ask you how to change context file property values. My context file looks like <Context path="/doceng" reloadable="true" docBase="${docBase}"> <Resource name="jdbc/docengdb" auth="Container" type="javax.sql.DataSource" driverClassName="${driverclassName}" url="${dburl}" username="${dbusername}" password="${dbpassword}" maxActive="${maxactive}" maxIdle="${maxidle}" maxWait="${maxwait}"/> </Context>
All the parameters are defined in build.properties but deploy task does not change the values, which results bad deployment. The ant deploy task is <target name="deploy.app.context" description="Deploys the application to this host's servers"> <deploy url="${remote.tomcat.manager.url}" username="${remote.tomcat.manager.username}" password="${remote.tomcat.manager.password}" path="/test" config="file:///${doceng.home}/tomcat/test.xml"/> </target> --- On Mon, 5/4/09, Mark Coffin <mcof...@aalsolutions.com> wrote: > From: Mark Coffin <mcof...@aalsolutions.com> > Subject: RE: [Xmltask-users] Conditional insert based on xpath > To: "Lukacs, Gabriel" <gabriel.luk...@siemens.com>, "Cool The Breezer" > <techcool.ku...@yahoo.com>, xmltask-users@lists.sourceforge.net > Date: Monday, May 4, 2009, 10:40 AM > I wouldn't recommend putting your > application specific stuff in the > server.xml file for Tomcat. > > A better approach would be to create a context.xml file and > place it in > the META-INF of your war file.
