Sounds reasonable.  I dug into the JAXP 1.3 validation stuff a little
deeper and maybe we should - at least as an option - support it in
later versions.  At least in theory it would allow Relax NG
validations as well, for example.

I'm in Amsterdam for ApacheCon this week and plan to release XMLUnit
1.1 final next week, unless major bugs get uncovered.
