Hello all!

I hope this is the right place to shoot this e-mail.

I have been working on a web-based front-end for XMMS2 for a while now.
Because it uses HTML, it is fully skinnable, it runs on all platforms, and
it is very VERY small and quick. The only thing required for it to work is
python and a web-browser. It doesn't need any special dependencies... just
python and a browser. The way it works is a server script is started, which
runs and acts like a local web-server, a user will then simply connect to
the local address via their favorite web-browser, and walla! music at their
finger tips. This web-server is special however in that you can pass
commands to the web server, and it will directly control the xmms2 server.
Even though it still needs allot of work, I figured this is something I
should pass on-to the world. Allot of development needs to go into the
web-based part of the skin, and unfortunately I am not that "up" on my html
and D-html. The server is ready to rock-n'-roll, and is easily modified. The
frame-work is setup to EASILY add new commands to interface with xmms2.

Right now this web-based client will display a full skin, it has working
play, stop, pause, next and last buttons. You can add folders, clear the
playlist, and select any song in the playlist. In short, it is fully
functional, and will allow you to jam' to your music all night. I am not
sure if attachments will work on this mailing list, if they do, then you may
all see a screen-shot in the attachment (yes, I creatively ripped the skin
from xmms :) ) .

Please let me know if anyone would be interested in me publishing this, or
helping me with it. Thanks for your feedback!
