Hi all, I've just upgraded to my gentoo x11-overlay, all git master. Plus kernel 2.6.31.6. Basically things work (modulo minor display corruption), thunderbird feels nice for the first time ever.
I enabled KMS in-kernel, and it has nice things to say: Linux agpgart interface v0.103 agpgart: Detected NVIDIA nForce2 chipset agpgart-nvidia 0000:00:00.0: AGP aperture is 64M @ 0xf8000000 [drm] Initialized drm 1.1.0 20060810 [drm] radeon default to kernel modesetting. [drm] radeon kernel modesetting enabled. today's xorg has another opinion: (II) Primary Device is: PCI 0...@00:00:0 (II) [KMS] drm report modesetting isn't supported. >From the code (radeon_probe.c), I noticed the /sys/bus/pci/xxx/drm file is missing. I'm not sure I got the logic right, but all sorts of stuff including my outputs are represented there, just drm is missing. So my question: Should I expect this combo to work at all? If yes, what could cause the missing /sys entry? Thanks in advance, Simon _______________________________________________ xorg-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-devel
