Options --clone and --extend were not documented in the man page. Trying some searches on various search engines returns some references to those options: http://keithp.com/blogs/randr_1.2_update/index.html BTW, 3rd utilities relying on a broken xrandr are broken too. As a user, getting an error message instead of nothing happening is definitely a plus. My 2 cents. Thanks for the review.
