so far all _I_'ve seen is client-side-font rendering. and i like it.
(users perspective)

i remember those really gruesome (from a usability-point-of-view)
font-selection dialogs (... -*-*-*-*-12-*-* or whatever..). i'm happy
the way it is now. 

who run's x over network and hasn't a fast network, anyway?
