Sorry - I wasn't disagreeing with the removal, just nitpicking the message
and providing more historical context, mostly so that when the next user
complains about ancient extensions going away they're sent to the right
replacement.
Given that the X Consortium deprecated it in X11R6.1, I agree it's far past
time for it to go.
