It's getting to be about that time again, so we should begin
working on the 7.6 katamari releases.
To start things off, a proposed schedule:
August 20:
- Xorg-server 1.9.0 release according to
http://www.x.org/wiki/Server19Branch
- Driver & protocol updates needed for 1.9.0 should
be released by this date
- Xlib 1.4.0 RC 1
August 31:
- Features frozen for katamari modules, code mostly frozen
- Start releasing tarballs for those that need it (feel
free to put releases out sooner if ready, we can always
make more if needed.)
Sept. 18 (end of XDS):
- X11R7.6 RC 1, including Xlib 1.4.0 final
Early-mid October:
- X11R7.6 final, including Xorg server 1.9.1 final
Besides the server features listed on the above mentioned
Server19Branch, and it's older sibling Server18Branch,
the other notable changes will be coming since 7.5 are being
gathered on http://www.x.org/wiki/Releases/7.6 - please update
with the ones that are missing.
